Another type of pedestrian obstacle is “FB Mecasystem” full height turnstiles. In large part, these security accesses are used for outdoor applications under the strictest security / vandalism requirements. The full height turnstile is designed for installation in materials with high security requirements. The mechanisms of these devices can withstand high mechanical loads and are designed for continuous high current operation. All full height turnstiles (except GlassGO) can be manufactured in the street version (protection class IP65) and operate all year round in the open air without the use of shelters or other similar structures. There are three material variations available – polished stainless steel, satin steel or structural steel, painted in any RAL color at the customer’s choice.
The street version, for complicated operating conditions (for example, on seaside coasts), includes a hot-dip galvanized zinc cover, followed by a final coloring. This type of turnstile is an adequate solution for the security of an access and at the same time a solution adapted for people with reduced mobility, bicycles and for any bulky object. In addition, the customer is able to make a decision based on the driving principle: electro-mechanical, motorized, or fully mechanical. In accordance with the requirements for the physical security of objects, full height turnstiles, when turned off, are blocked. Unlocking is done using special keys, entry and exit directions are unlocked separately. Passage turnstiles can be provided which, when disconnected from the power grid, allow free exit from the area. Turnstiles can be integrated into any type of access control system and identification equipment and slaved to fire safety systems.
